National Centre for Population Health and Wellbeing Research (NCPHWR)
The National Centre for Population Health and Wellbeing Research is a collaboration between Swansea, Bangor and Cardiff Universities working in partnership with Public Health Wales. It aims to make Wales a world leader in population health science by generating an evidence base for public health policies, services and interventions and optimising take up on a scale that makes a population level impact.
The Centre looks to facilitate research that supports people’s health and well-being throughout life, aiming to explore and tackle some of today’s most difficult health and social challenges.
The Centre will:

Support and develop research ready rapid analysis health and non-health data sets;

Increase capacity in academic population health research;

Support and enhance a high-performing, well connected, collaborative, interdisciplinary population health and social care research community in Wales;

Provide a platform to increase external grant capture.
